Vernon Freestanding Fits Models:,Columbia Bay Insert, Remington F/P (QFP40), Remington (QFP30) Part Numbers: 842-5130 / 240-0880 Kit Includes:5' Length x 1" Wide x 1/2" Bulb Tadpole Style ket, High temperature Foil Tape (Keeps ends from fraying), Guaranteed Quadra-Fire OEM, Replacement ket Seal - Highest Quality, Notes for Installation:The Tadpole Door ket goes all the way around the glass; however, the tadpole portion only goes around 3 sides for the door seal. The fourth side is for the stoves “air-wash”. Be sure to note whether your unit has the air-wash at the top or the bottom of the door and replace ket the same way. You will simply use a scissors to trim off the tadpole (Bulb) part of the ket on the air-wash side just applying the flat tape ket portion. Tadpole ket adheres to the glass with removal of protective strip; no additional sealant is needed. You can use a razor blade to scrape off as much of the old adhesive left behind as possible to ensure the most secure seal when applying the new ket. Foil tape is included to place over the two ends that butt up together. This insures that there is no fraying and helps your ket last longer. IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use the nozzle on your vacuum cleaner against the tadpole ket; this will cause it to wear prematurely.
