Unearth dinosaur bones and make your own authentic replica of a ferocious T. Rex! Dig through the rock material with the paleontologist tools to free the remains of this prehistoric creature, then assemble into a model replica of a T. Rex. Each product is authentically designed by expert paleontologist Dr. Stefano Piccini (Dr. Steve), scientifically accurate in scale, anatomy, posture and proportion. The kit includes everything you need - excavation rock material, model skeleton bones, hammer, chisel, brush, educational facts, and detailed instructions. Review: Super fun - I had more fun with this then my 3 year old nephew. It said that it's easy for kids to play with but I'd probably get this for 5years old and up. My nephew lost interest when it took to long to dig out the bones but it's still a lot of fun. Review: Good fun - This was a blast to do with my 3.5 year old. He loved it! I wish we would’ve done it outside as it was quite messy. We had so much fun I tried to order another one but couldn’t find the spinosaurus anywhere.

My kid loved it
My kid (7 years old) had a blast excavating it and I helped him put it together. We did have some issues with the tail staying together but a little super glue and this thing is solid.

Wrong bones in dig. Cannot put together.
My son got a different dinosaur for his birthday and loved it so I bought him the t rex for Christmas. Once he dug all the pieces we tried to put the dino together and cannot complete it because we got 2 left hip bones and not a right hip bone. He was pretty disappointed.

My nephew got a kick out of it
My 8 year old nephew likes little kits like this - he'll work on them at the kitchen counter, usually under supervision of his mom. He really enjoyed digging this thing out! The plastic tools are good for kids - not crazy heavy duty but a kid won't hurt themselves with them. Digging out the "dinosaur" is messy so be prepared for a lot of small chipped pieces! But we were able to dig out the skeleton and snap this together with no problems. The toy you end up with is really small. Very small! But he didn't care - it was fun to uncover and build it. I don't know how much this helps with "STEM" development if you ask me - they keep slapping that label on toys now trying to make you think your kid is learning or achieving a goal - this is just a kid hammering on rock and putting together a toy. But he liked it so I should stop griping!

Neat but difficult
This is very difficult to assemble; even with the numbered pieces, the pieces don’t fit as easily as they should. Some of the parts wouldn’t fit together at all and we had to glue them on.

My son is 7 good age
My son loved it. Keep him wanting to work on getting out.

Fun to dig out bones; a bit tougher to assemble.
This is the second "Dr. Steve's" kit I have done with my daughter. We first did the geode one. This one features the same tools. It is more immediately rewarding because the gypsum block is literally full of bones, so you find them a lot faster. It took us about an hour to find all thirteen bones and clean them up, and that part was really fun. The hard part is putting the dinosaur together. As you can imagine, the bones need to be able to survive being encased in gypsum, and then chiseled out, so they might take a bit of a beating. As such, the tolerances aren't that tight, and it is a bit difficult for a child (in this case my almost ten year old daughter) to assemble the bones together. Even helping her, we both found it challenging as the pieces just don't fit that well, and some have been bent or twisted a bit out of shape. Took about 15 minutes for us to get it together Overall, fun, just a bit touchy on final assembly.

Qualche ora tranquilla
Consigliato
