Wow What A Beautiful Brush Set.
Wow what a beautiful set of well made brushes, they comprise of synthetic and natural hair. On receiving my set I was amazed how well the brushes were presented, the brush roll looks better than the picture on Amazon, it has a silky feel to it and the brushes are well protected in the case and do not rub against one another. The brushes themselves need a pre wash to remove any protective residue, also it's advisable to give them a second wash to allow any loose hairs, this is normal and will only be the odd one or two. One of my brushes has a slight curve in the handle but after contacting the company they promptly apologised and then said they are sending a replacement, wow what a service it was lightning fast and a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be buying more from this company as they put the customer first and quality. The brushes are exquisitely designed with the artist in mind and hold a lot of water when I'm painting watercolour. If you want a fantastic brush set you cant go wrong with this set, there is a lot of brushes that would cover most works, the detail brushes work exceptionally well and the tips are stiff enough for extra fine detail. I take my hat off to this company for a really nice brush set, well presented and well made. Thank you.

These brushes are amazing!
I;m a beginner water colourist and have been using student grade brushes but decided to upgrade. I;m so glad that I bought these brushes, they are much better than the ones I have been using till now...they hold plenty of water, have a good snap and seem to keep their shape really well. The round brushes have an incredible point to get a really fine line. The only downside is that the cat;s tongue brush has shed several hairs whilst I was rinsing it under the tap and I;m just hoping it doesn;t lose any more. Apart from this I;m really happy with my new brushes! ETA 2/4/20: ZenArt contacted me about the faulty cat;s tongue brush - a week later I received a replacement brush in the post! Super customer service and I really love using these brushes. Excellent product and customer service.

Expensive.
Brushes are lovely to paint with as they hold lots of water and are lightweight. The larger brushes shed a lot of hairs and the largest is still loosing hairs after more than 25 uses. I have noticed that the furrules whwre they are attached to the handle are not sealed and let water in every easily if dipped in too far, ive changed my water pot from colour plastic to glass just so i can see im not doing this. With the haors mostly being squrriel mix when dry they tend to go a little bit fuzzy and most of the time thisbis fixed once wet but i have noticed a few hairs have snapped off on a few brushes. A few of the brushes are also starting to loose the text on the handle, one is completly gone now so i dont know what size it is.

Perfect brushes and perfect seller
What a great set of brushes! I have just begun watercolor painting and after reading many reviews I chose these. I made the right choice! The have a lovely balance and are a perfect selection of sizes. The wallet is a real bonus and makes the set beautifully transportable. If you are looking for a smart, elegant and a-joy-to use set of portable brushes, don’t hesitate to buy these. What’s more the company itself is great to deal with. Excellent communications, useable free gifts and helpful advice. They have a strong community ethos which I also admire. I’d give 6 stars if I could.

Excellent and at a great price
This set was bought after buying some acrylic brushes of the same make. They feel good quality and are a pleasure to work with. They come in a convenient carry case and just about cover every brush you would need. They do shed to begin with but this soon stops and the maintain a nice point or edge. It is a shame I can't seem to buy these individually but for now while they are looking good I am happy

Perfect for all artists whatever your level
I was lucky enough to get a voucher for my birthday- and have had these on my wish list for a while. I have just received them and had a quick try. I am extremely new to watercolour painting - but can tell these are going to make the journey so much easier I am highly impressed- the price for the set is brilliant too I have tried other brushes that were cheaper But the quality of these is definitely worth the investment- don’t feel you are too novice for them

An excellent watercolour brush set
These watercolour brushes are simply perfect, a beautiful design that is well balanced and comfortable to hold. Their water/pigment holding abilities are of a professional standard but the price is truly affordable. I would recommend these brushes to students who wish to take their art further, and to professionals who want to add to their brush collection. Would definitely purchase more individual brushes in the future xXx

Superb set of brushes
Fantastic set of brushes highly recommended!. Brushes feel great in your hand good weight and length to them I find gives more control the fine tip on the end of the brushes allowed me to get great detail without using various brushes to achieve this it also allowed me to go from very loose painting to very fine detail with only 1 brush really impressed with these brushes and I would highly recommend anyone to use them fantastic set of brushes! 10 out of 10!

Design: Design-wise these brushes are very pretty! They definitely would make a great gift for an artist. I love how sleek the brushes look, and they remind me of higher-grade paintbrushes. The faux metal finish is quite nice, almost reminds me of those higher-end inking pens. Performance: I’ve previously worked with very cheap brushes, and it’s such an upgrade to be using these brushes. While I adore my $6 Aliexpress brushes, one of my biggest gripes with cheap brushes is the strands sticking out, and falling out at random times. If retractable makeup brushes already exist, I’m sure several paintbrushes out there do that too. That being said I like the design of these travel brushes. The whole gimmick of this brush is that’s portable, and you assemble it when you are ready to use it. The brushes are designed where the head is stored in the base, and you pull it out and stick it on top, and it securely adheres to the base. I haven’t personally tried an art brush like this before, so I found the design quite innovative. Plus the case it came in was so nice and sturdy. Brushes: So let’s move on to the actual performance and feel of these brushes. If you’re like me and have previously worked with cheaper brushes, these will feel so much nicer than the brushes you have worked with before. The hairs are thick, sturdy, softer, and plush, and the individual strands stay in place. All of these characteristics of the brush allow you to be able to draw more precise lines. Let’s be clear, it’s not impossible with the cheaper brushes to make precise lines. You totally can, and I have in the past. But I’d waste a lot of time, having to constantly wet my brushes to make sure the strands didn’t fray, and I’d still get some stray fanning. It is so nice to not have to worry about that, and just focus on my lines. Personally, for me, it would be difficult to go back to cheaper brushes after trying nicer brushes, and I feel like my upgrade of brushes is certainly going to be in the midrange. Here are my impressions of each individual brush: Round 4: Round 4 is the most versatile on how washed out and opaque you can make the lines. It’s a very pointed brush that allows you to make precise lines. I found myself gravitating towards this brush. Round 1: I absolutely adore this brush. I like making very bold lines, and having a thin brush is important for changing the line weight as I draw. My watercolor pad is pretty tiny, and I prefer working with thinner brushes/ I have to say of all the brushes, Round 1 was certainly my favorite brush! I loved how thin and precise the lines were while painting. The brush reminded me of calligraphy brushes/g-pens, with its capability to make thin and wide lines. It is certainly my most used brush. 8 Filbert: The Filbert 8 unsurprisingly is capable of filling big areas on the paper. The brush isn’t the most opaque and is a lot more washed it. I used Filbert to fill out the color for the background. I do wish there was a bigger brush included in the set because it would make filling out backgrounds so much quicker. 6 Flat: The flat brush gives you the most opaque color and is ideal for filling color. I also liked how thin you could make the lines. If you like packing pigment, the 6 Flat would be the ideal brush. Price: Compared to other paintbrushes in this category, this seems to be a mid-range price. These types of paintbrushes seem to go anywhere between $10-56. It was slightly pricier than some other paintbrush sets. But I liked the quality of the paintbrushes, so I’m not too upset. Overall Thoughts: I adore this set! It’s a great upgrade from my cheaper brushes, and it’s a nice-looking set, plus it’s tiny enough to store in a purse, backpack, or drawer. It would make a nice gift for an artist! I certainly love playing with the brushes, and will continue to do so! I'm very happy with this set!
