Great set, very classy

Gifted it to my husband who is an LoTR fan. He loved it! The binding is luxurious, we loved the small size and the print is good. It's so beautiful!

A must have collection of The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings trilogy for fans

A must have collection of 4 books : The hobbit and 3 LOTR books. All hardcover illustrated editions with thick pages and excellent print quality. Beautifully packaged books with a hardcover case to keep. Each chapter inside all the books has a coloured heading. All the books have great looking maps. And then comes the most special thing!!!!!!! The best ever illustrations by the master “Alan Lee”. I’m thrilled to have this edition and can’t wait to read it once again!!!! So it begins!!!!!!

This is the best edition I have ever seen on any book.

Wow! just wow! The quality is multi fold in this bookset. Just to be clear this is the Illustrated Edition by Harpercollins. Paper quality is so good, I have never seen such high quality paper in a book before. The hardcover binding is also top notch. all this with Alan Lee's immersive and magnificent illustrations make it a perfect way to get lost in the fantasy world of Tolkien.

My Precious

The slipcase was a bit damaged , though I fixed it with glue. That's why I gave it 4 star but otherwise the set is so damn gorgeous. I was waiting to get my hands on it for a long time and now I got it. All the 4 books are in brand new condition. I couldn't expect more with J.R.R Tolkien's creation and Alam Lee's illustrations.

Beautiful books.. I have other editions... But this book is beautiful...when I bought it I was told its a old book... But I got is a new... Its price is given 100 pounds... What I paid was 40 (INR4000) so it was a steal

One of the best quality hardbacks I have ever purchased!

The book quality is exquisite. The cover is beautiful and sturdy. Pages are as thick as bond paper and the printing quality is top class. Entirely satisfied with the purchase! And I don't thing I have to review the story. After all, it's The Lord of The "Books".
