Directed by Vijay Sadanah and produced by K.C Bokadia, Pyar Jhukta Nahin is a 1985 released Hindi feature film which had been a hit amongst the contemporaries. Starring Mithun Chakraborty and Padmini Kolahpure, this movie is a plain and simple love story, depicting romance in an inspiring way. The movie did well at the box-office and even today, the songs of the movie are considered as huge hits. The movie also features Danny Denzongpa, Bindu and Asrani in pivotal roles. Director Vijay Sadanah has brilliantly portrayed the chemistry between the lead pair in this movie. Mithun (Ajay Khanna) is a journalist and photographer earning Rs 850 per month. As he meets Padmini (Preeti) and they both fall in love with each other, the film starts to pace up. Preeti tells her parents about their affair but as they disagree, she threatens to kill herself. Finally as the parents agree for the marriage, Preeti's dad creates obstacles in their relationship, which force the two love birds to separate from each other. Later in the movie, Preeti loses her mental state, as and when she comes to know that her son is dead. The story moves on with numerous twists and turns and finally Preeti and Ajay are re-united after a long gap of several years. The film has six songs and all the songs are well appreciated by the audience. The track ‘Tumse Milkar Na Jane Kyon', sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Shabbir Kumar is the most popular song from the feature film.
