I got an m/62 (which is a West German made copy for the Danish military under contract and was issued to everyone (with or without an M1)). I also got a USGI M8A1 sheath for it which it fits perfectly. All in all it's a great surplus bayonet even though it's a copy and not an actual M5A1. I'd definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for an M5A1...one gripe I have with it though is that the edge was grounded down so it was really dull and I had to create my own which was more of an annoyance than anything. Review: Whoever sharpened it made it look nowhere near like the original blade - Original bayonet, but it has been sharpened sometime in the past..... and not even done right. Whoever sharpened it made it look nowhere near like the original blade profile

Broke as soon as i attached it to my garand. Didnt even apply much force

condition could have been better
I expected the bayonet to be in better condition then i recieved it but it is serviceable I took it apart cleaned the dirt and mud out of it and re oiled the buttons on it but im still happy that it was serviceabile but condition should have been better for cost but at least its better condition the CMP!
