Excellent product, very weighty
Excellent product, very weighty, the light up feature is an added bonus. Have been looking everywhere for the same thing in 1:64 but I guess Mattel in their infinite wisdom have not chosen to make it.

When this Mater arrived, I was afraid it was just a collectible that would only be able to sit on its base(which has cool blue LEDs that light up under Mater). I chanced an operation with the screwdriver, took out the 4 screws that hold the base together, and the 2 that hold Mater to the base. Mater then comes off and can be played with as a regular car and placed on the base to hit the button that lights things up. The posts on the base fit into indents under Mater to properly locate him. The paperwork mentions sounds, but mine didn't seen to be equipped when I looked at the wiring inside the base. I ordered this as a Christmas present for my son and not removing it would not work for him. It is a very cool car that would be a great collectable, but more valuable to me as a way to make my son's day. This Mater has cool packaging that lets you display it and activate the LEDs through a small hole, and even change batteries without removing it from the original packaging, but if you are interested in this as a toy, have a philips head screwdriver handy.

Very pleased with them item and more pleased on how quickly it was shipped to us. Arrived before Christmas which was a total surprise as the shipping date was for January 13th 2017. The quality is great and was pleased that the size was much bigger then the firetruck. Made our Christmas and will definitely not disappoint our grandson who has waited 5 years for this specific toy. Thank you so much. I will definitely shop Amazon again. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Love this truck and on scale with other Cars cars sold at Target and the like. The look is very much like that of the cartoon "Tokyo Mater" and the LED lights on the base that light up underneath Mater makes it look like he's been truly modified. Looks great in the display but I had to take it out to let the little ones play with it. Now if only I could find out who does the "This is Tokyo" song from the cartoon I would be a happy camper.
