Freekeh, Lightly Toasted Wheat Grain 200g (Artisan Grains). Young Grains of Wheat, Toasted High in protein & fibre. Nutty flavour and texture. Use in place of rice or cous cous. Eat hot or cold. Low GI of 43. Freekeh looks a little like bulgar/bulghur wheat and it is indeed made from cracked wheat. The difference is that the wheat grain is younger and the grains are toasted before cracking.
