I have severe arthritis in both my knees. Bending to sit on a toilet seat is more than just difficult, it’s extremely painful. I had one toilet in my hall bathroom changed with a chair height Kohler model.. The total cost was $700 for the toilet, plumber, parts and installation. I was happy to pay it after trying 3 different toilet seat risers that were more than worthless.. they were dangerous. Very well made padded toilet seat. Impressive heavy duty vinyl padding, with suction cups underneath the cushion and Velcro straps. If you push down on the seat the suction cups could be all you need to fasten it to the toilet seat - we have not had to go to the trouble of using the Velcro. Great for any reason needed to purchase, hip or joint problems - great to add height for taller people to more easily use a toilet seat.

ccomforetable and the height helps a lot, but a litle too soft/squishy and I have a bad back and sometimes feels like it's not firm enough and will tweak my injuries if I sit on it slightly off/. Difficult to attach with bad back. toilet lid can't go straight up because of the thickness. So gotta sit in a stool and hold the seat at an angle with one hand while trying to get the straps through the loops with the other single handedly. The suctions cups are very strong. I neded up not bothering with the back loops. Another problem is cleaning the toilet. You have to pull it off and it is really stuck with the suctions cups.

Comfortable and supportive post-hip surgery. It is not the hard rigid plastic of most risers and it is also not that squishy foam that deflates when you sit. It is the perfect padded solution and just the right height. It was easy for me to put on and it never slid or moved around until I was ready to manually take it off, which was also quick and easy. Granted you cannot close the lid of your toilet with this on, and it is too much work to take it on and off every time you “go”, but I felt this was a small price to pay for the comfort and convenience.

My husband fractured his hip two weeks ago. This seat riser makes it much easier for him to arise from the toilet. It sounded a bit strange when he professed his love for it, but those three inches really help. The seat riser is very secure given the four suction cups and four Velcro straps holding it in place.

I have another 4" brand at home for an elderly family member. However, we were going on road trip and the one at home was to bulky and rigid for travel. This one has straps and suction cups to keep it in place. It was a godsend for low toilets in hotels. After the first time or two, we just put it on the seat and didn't even use the straps. The suction cups stick right away and keep the riser in place. They work so well I was afraid I was going to damage the toilet seat! (But that never happened -- it just made a loud noise when I took it off!). My 'adopted mom' kept commenting on how comfortable it was and wanted to make sure it was ours! It is 3 inches tall and a little cushiony (but not too much), so it is very comfortable, but doesn't lose the height. It will go on every trip with us. It made the trip so much easier and she didn't end up with her knees killing her from having to get up and down on those toilets.

The raised toilet seats available to rent through the rehabilitation specialty stores in our area are no less than 4 inches high which was way too high for me to use following my total hip replacement surgery. These fit the bill perfectly. Right height and added comfort when sitting on toilet. I was able to rent arms separately which made the set up just perfect. Very grateful to have found this product on Amazon.

Excellent Works well. And it’s always warm which was a nice surprise It was only used for 3 weeks so can’t tell on lifetime. It was quite expensive but you don’t have to remove the toilet seat so that was an advantage

What a difference this has made for me. Had hip replacement and needed a toilet raiser. Others tried were far to hard to sit on and really painful with the post op bruising. This is firm enough to keep you elevated but soft enough to make it comfortable. Suction and fixing tabs work perfectly.
