Sprained ankle first day of wearing these shoes - unstable and uncomfortable.
My daughter’s old fencing shoes had been quite worn out, so we decided to finally get her a new pair. She searched for a long time on Amazon to find the perfect pair and picked these. When they arrived, they seemed totally fine and had an amazing design. However, right when she started fencing practice, she immediately noticed she felt unstable and unsafe in these shoes, constantly tripping and stumbling. Big mistake. During a deep lunge, the lack of stability caused her right ankle to twist badly. She ended up spraining it and has been stuck wearing a brace for over two weeks now. If you’re looking for fencing shoes, I’d be careful with these. They didn’t provide the stability needed for the quick movements in fencing, and it cost her an injury right before a big tournament. Do not recommend!!!

Comfortable, affordable fencing shoe with good ankle and arch support
These shoes are very reasonably priced and offer good value for money. Lightweight and sturdy, the have a rounded heel that also provides good ankle support, and a tread that provides traction when needed, while also allowing you to slide. I especially appreciated the very aggressive arch support, which makes footwork feel almost effortless.
