UPDATE: A couple days after I posted this review, a Lamicall rep messaged me to apologize and offer a refund AND replacement, which I received today. Unlike the last one, it’s perfectly pristine, clean, well-packaged and includes a manual. So I’m updating my review to 5 stars and adding new photos. Props to Lamicall for going above and beyond to make things right. A+ customer service! -—— PREVIOUS REVIEW: I received a used one, with zero packaging My low 2-star rating has nothing to do with the usefulness/ quality of the product… it’s because I’m upset after paying full price for a brand new item, and receiving a used one instead. It just arrived— in 2 pieces, in a clear plastic bag, with nothing else. I know from seeing other customer photos that it should have arrived protected inside a Lamicall branded box, along with a user manual/ pamphlet. Furthermore, it clearly has been used… and not just for like, one ride to try it out before returning it. This clamp has dust and grime in the nooks and crannies and the contact points in the corner cushions are worn and dirty with indications of repetitive use. The inside of the plastic ball joint socket seems to have some small cracks & damage, though the joint seems to work fine. I’m not going to bother returning it because it seems to be sturdy and working fine. I’d be happy to have paid a discounted price for this, considering it’s in great shape for being a used, pre-owned item. But I paid full retail price for a new item— it didn’t say “open box” or “reconditioned” or anything like that.

Honest review from a Ninja 650 owner This phone mount is solid, does exactly what the description says. However, at least for a ninja 650 it does not properly fit the handle bars. You can make it work, the clamps are super tight on this thing and will lock onto almost any surface. The little button on the side helps for smooth on and off as well. If you like landscape, it doesn’t rotate on the fly. You’ll have to stop and readjust the fastener to rotate and then secure. Easy on and off when you want to take it off. As for the vibration dampeners, does a decent job but still see a bit of blur in the camera, see the video attached. Very easily adjustable if you want a different angle. Now, what all you real goons are wanting to know. In theory, if you got up to high speeds, theoretically 130+, your phone isn’t going anywhere. Once you lock it in, it’s locked in safe and sound. Even with the mount not fitting my bars properly, it stays on just fine. Overall this is a great option for the money when compared to a quad lock or other big name mount. Plus you don’t have to buy the vibration dampeners separate.

My use for this is on my bicycle. I have tried more phone mounts than I can count looking for one that would be stable, hold the phone securely and not shift from the bumps and vibrations on my rides. I ride on the vast network of walking/biking paths in my area as well as on streets with decent bike lanes. Some of the terrain is very rough, especially some of the boardwalks over streams and marshes. The vibrations there can be horrible - to the point it can be hard to maintain control of the bike, and it always wreaks havoc on my phone. I mount my phone on a handlebar extension next to my headlamp. I tested this by riding the roughest parts of my local trails. The vibration dampening on this is awesome! It will 'bottom out' on rough terrain sometimes, but I'm putting a fraction of the pounding on my phone that I did with other mounts. And the locking mechanism to keep the phone in place is solid and easy to lock. Also, the mount never moved. I'm used to readjusting my bike mount every time I go over a rough patch, but this mount was steady as a rock. A 25 mile ride and I never once had to readjust the mount. It stayed securely mounted exactly how I mounted it with no shifting or slippage due to vibration or bumps. The mount is also really well designed and easy to take on and off. I can move this back and forth between both my bikes in a few seconds. I'm ordering another one for my wife's bike right away. Another minor note: I know there are some great mount systems out there, but the good ones require a special phone case to work with them. And I typically hate those cases, and don't like buying a new one every time I change phones. With this mount, I can use whatever case and phone I want and not worry about it. Much of this holder looks to be of convincing quality. However the acceptable phone size is not properly described or diagrammed in the product listing, so it's hard to tell what phones it will or will not fit. In one place it mentions fitting phones up to 6.7 inch (typically the screen diagonal), then elsewhere says that the max clamp diagonal is 6.5 inches. These can't both be true, so it renders the data useless. At any rate, this unit does not fit the Samsung S21+ with an otterbox case. Although the jaws spread far enough apart top to bottom (assuming portrait orientation), the curved corners of each of the jaws are not spaced far enough to allow the phone to seat properly into each jaw.. Ie: the product expects the more extreme aspect ratio of the iPhone, and doesn't work with the more modest aspect ratio of S21+. I could probably get S21+ to fit with no case, but who is going to take a phone out in the world without a case?

This phone holder clamps down onto your bars and as long as you tighten it up it'll stay right there, grips the phone with rubber corners and the flip lock is easy to use and secure, I have ridden to probably 1000 miles with this on an it's never had an issue stable at high speeds on a naked sportsbike the durability is really good it's solid for its size It's only downside is it's out in the open so rain will get to your phone if it's not water resistant

I was using a cardo with the universal case adaptor and it was absolutely thrashing my camera and was a pain in the ass to use. This one has saved me so much time and my phone isn't wobbling long crappy roads. It's really sturdy and secure. Really happy with it
