My daughter loves to play with these aqua brushes... and she uses them a little more rough than intended. The bristles on the original brushes that came with the books have completely frayed out in all directions and water won't flow through them efficiently. This edges us dangerously close to the tantrum zone at times. I was thrilled to see that there are replacement packs so she can keep playing with her water books (one of the coolest modern kids' toys in my opinion). This 10-pack arrived as expected with as-pictured brightly colored aqua brushes that are accurate to the image. I like the mix of colors so my daughter can choose her favorite color of the day. These work just like the originals with a small opening for filling with water. It's accessed by unscrewing the brush. Simply fill it, screw it back together, and hand it off to your little aqua artist. Test 1: I tried them out first and had no issues with functionality (see my video). I did have to bend the brush to sort of snap it free from its stiff brand-new position, which took half a second. Then it was just like her other brushes. Also, I had to take the photos and a video in the shade since the sun was drying out my pages too quickly. ;) Test 2: I handed them over to the expert, my 2-year-old, and she went to work on a page of her book with no issues. I waited for her to pause or throw it back at me, but she simply hummed a happy little tune and went about her playtime routine. Test passed. The verdict? These are a valuable backup to have on hand if your little one goes through aqua markers like mine does.

If your kids lose water pens immediately after buying a new coloring book, this is for you! These are just as good as the name brand so it’s a great bang for your buck. They are durable, the brushes work well, and water comes out exactly as it should.

These work well with the books we have, (that weren't bought in the US). They are mess free, good bristles quality, perfect dimensions for a toddler/ child to hold and use them. Good product overall.

For young boys who don't yet understand the "do not make a mess" this gift works a lot in keeping the mess out. They seem to enjoy using them on the various coloring books sent to them. We live in Ohio, they are in Tenn and I have health issues that keeps me from traveling. Anyhow, daughter says they have enjoyed the gifts sent, books, coloring books, cookies and more so I will have to trust her to tell me right and not be nice, want right, not nice.

These brushes are good replacements for the original brush when the original brush is worn out.
