This is a great tool for removing cherry stones. I bought this at the start of the cherry season, others with better reviews were available but 2 months delay in receiving would mean that the cherry season would be over. This little tool is perfect, the cherry sits nicely in the base, give it a squeeze and out the pit pops! I wish that I'd had one years ago, now for cherry jam.

Have never used a pitter before -have arthritis in my hands and didn't find this particularly comfortable to hold. Although specifically for cherries and olives (so it says) I wanted to pit damsons and had read I should us a pitter.To be fair it worked. Only thing is the rubber insert is now split making it probably not very long lasting for my needs. Guess I should have pitted cherries instead!!!!!

Just as expected. Really good for Damsons and Cherries. I would not bother with gin soaked Sloes. The fruit are just to small and the flesh clings to the stone. I did expect this though and was just optimistic that I may get away with not spending an afternoon to de pit the gin soaked fruit for making chocolates with them. Well, I just have to spend the time - maybe it will be quite therapeutic.

The onerous task of removing the cherry stones was made simple, efficient and effective. Great labour saving tool.

Used for pitting fresh cherries. It does the job extremely well but you do need a firm grip when using. The actual 'squeeze' needed to expel the stones can be quite a strain after a while. The Pitter is well made and strong. Cleaning is easy.

There is a little clip at the back to pull or push which opens or locks the pitter. It very easily punches out the pip however I highly recommend you aim the pip into a bad or bin as it tends to cause a bit of a splatter!Easily washed in soapy water but is also dishwasher proof.

I bought this to stone a kg of cherries. Works like a dream--easy to hold, feels durable, and really easy to use. The stones come flying out! Made short work out of what would have been a drudge. Easily cleaned in the top shelf of the dishwasher.
