Trident Wild Alaskan Smoked Sockeye Salmon - 567g/20 Oz

I love this salmon. Costco used to sell this beginning in October/November every year. I always bought several boxes for me, and sent it as gifts to friends for Christmas. This is wild caught salmon, not from Atlantic salmon farms. It will last 2-3 years unopened (there is an expiration date on the box). Once opened, it must be used within 7 days. But, alas, Costco in Georgia did not have it in 2020. I always took several boxes to the beach in the summer, because it travels well, and is easy to serve and to put in chowders. After I drain and skin it, I always put infused olive oil on it, and sometimes hot sauce. The only places I could find it in 2020 were Amazon and ebay. I ordered from Amazon to try and check out taste and the expiration date. It was the same great taste with a date 3 or 4 years out. Then, I ordered boxes for friends. I only hope theirs tasted as good as other years. (it was cheaper when Costco had it)

The smoked Sockeye salmon arrived the day projected and that night I had to eat about 4 oz. of it with some buttered pumpernickel bread. It was terrific! Reminded me of the smoked fish I used to have in my grandfather's Milwaukee store in the 1950s. My wife also had it with her eggs, just warmed lightly and along with English muffin topped by Philly cream cheese. She described it like a gourmet b'fast and I plan to have the same tomorrow. (Last night I had it with my evening meal - the smoked salmon - lightly warmed accompanied by Triscuts covered with cream cheese. You can't beat it.

Very good salmon - fresh and always moist. However, no longer buy because it's too expensive.

It is a little juicier than I am used to, but maybe that’s because I’m used to our home smoked fish. Delicious though.

I'm a big seafood fan. This smoked salmon is the best I've ever had. After the first bite I was impressed. Nothing better than this salmon on a saltine cracker. Another home run product from Amazon.

This product is not at all like the picture. It arrived in a paper envelope. The filet had some kind of oily mess all over it, it was not a full filet and the skin was still on the soggy mess. It did taste good, but could not make an acceptable table presentation. Will not buy again

Good great flavor

I was expecting a longer thinner salmon. We are going to serve this on Christmas morning with bagels. I am sure it will be tasty but not what I thought I was ordering.
