Thompson's Water Seal Semi-Transparent Wood Sealer, Desert Tan, 1 Gallon

This product is very easy to apply and dries quickly. 2nd coat went on very easily . Coverage is great and tint color is pleasing. I like that the wood grain ( porch deck) shows thru. My deck gets sun and rain exposure a lot ( South Florida), even with a roof over it. Water beads up nicely, however, I did need to reapply after 4 months of hot summer sun and rain. The addtional application increases the beauty of the wood and it again beads water, even the same day as the re-application. You can see in the pic where the tiny dab of blue tape is is on the white board. From there to the far side is just re-appled. From the tape towards me is still the 4 month old application. Still looks OK, but no longer beads water. I am an 81 year old granny.. so if this is easy for me ( It is!) then ANYONE should be albe to use it easily!

We’ve used Thompson’s WaterSeal Semi-Transparent Desert Tan on all the wood around our property for over 10 years, and it continues to perform great. Some of our wood is exposed to full sun most of the day, while other areas are shaded, and we’ve found that reapplying once a year keeps everything well protected, even in the harsh Arizona sun. Application is simple using a 1-gallon yard sprayer followed by a quick brush touch-up. The color looks great and the protection lasts. Highly recommend!

Great product. Don’t worry too much about the evenness of your application as this product evens itself out. I used a garden sprayer and a small roller. Pretty easy job.
