Amazing strong, great quality lead. I use this lead for my 50kg dog and it's perfect for us, he loves the freedom with the length, I still have control, quick stop lock works well, it's a thick and strong. It feels sturdy and can handle a lot of wear or tear. This is the second TUG lead I've had. The first one I had 2 years and would still be okay but my dog chewed it so bought another but so worth the price. The only retractable lead I've found that's strong enough for my dog. Highly recommend and great colours. I have noticed some reviews saying the lead snapped but I honestly cannot imagine how that could happen unless the dogs chewed through it or they have the wrong weight size for their dog, I find the very strong my 50kg dog can pull if he gets excited and he's extremely strong and the lead has never ever been close to snapping.

Works well but is very lightweight. This is a positive trait but it makes it feel not so robust,but just takes getting used to.

This is my preferred lead out of this, the short one and the long leash. It keeps a long lead out of the muck and can be a short lead when you need it. Do check to find the right size for your dog - we were given one and ended up with the large size for a smallish dog, which pulled on him more than necessary and is a lot bigger and heavier to carry around. I only realised when I came to buy a new one. The mechanism for clamping the lead works well and the flat profile is pretty good at not getting twisted, though you do need to make sure it runs out straight. The first one was being replaced as he had chewed the old one, so it was good to see a short chew-strap included. I fixed the old one by cutting and tying a knot, but the new one is much smaller and lighter to carry.

Really happy with this dog lead. It's a bit pricier than my previous leads but feels worth the price. It feels sturdy and secure yet isn't too bulky to carry in my hand (or coat pocket when not needed). It's plenty long enough for my yorkie and the neutral colour can be used with any of her collars. I think it's good that there are different options for different sized dogs.

I've bought two of these in the last 3 years and unfortunately both have broken. It's a nice lead to hold, but it doesn't last very long unfortunately. The first one broke as the cord got wet, which then resulted in a failure of the spring (had owned it for about 1.5 years), which was very inconvenient due to where it broke. However, I gave them another try and bought a second, unfortunately the next one the cord got stuck on some brambles and tore, which then meant that although it retracted, it snagged, resulting in more issues. So overall, its a nice lead to use, but not very durable.
