A great program for easy photo editing.
When Nova Development sold their excellent PhotoImpact Pro software to Corel for them to disassemble & trash, I started waiting for Nova to come up with another photo-editing program to take its place. Well, Photo Explosion Deluxe doesn't even come near to Impact Pro's quality, but it's still a great program for changing, fixing, & improving your library of pictures. It has a super-easy to use interface with a very low learning curve. You'll be surprising your friends and impressing your relatives with all the fun, cool things you can do to your photographs. It's not a feature-rich editor, but it supplies enough variety to accomplish most tasks in minimal time. I miss having a built-in ruler to help with some projects, and having some preset sizes in inches for new, blank canvases would have been nice. However, I got the program at only $20, so it's a major bargain at that price! My only worry is how long it'll be before Nova gives up on Photo Explosion and sells it out to Corel. It's hard to trust a company that does not value their customers. With all that said, I still recommend Photo Explosion Deluxe for the novice & experienced editors alike. It's a great alternative to bulky, over-blown editing software, plus it doesn't kill your savings account.

It was just what I wanted
I thought this would be good to prepare pictures for books and other things.

If I could give this item zero stars I would have done so.
Totally worthless. I cannot open any of my own photos from my computer. I tried downloading from the net; had that problem. Uninstalled. Installed again, using an external drive; same problem; the only personal photo I could open was a photo of my dog....FROM MY PHONE? Really? Tried going to the site offered in the container; got an AI response telling me that there were a number of sites I could be writing about, but there was no obvious connection to the item. Went to Amazon's suggestion for support. "Call cannot be completed; person being called is busy." I repeat: totally worthless. Can't use the photo explosion deluxe. Can't find them at the site they recommended in the case. Can't get help from the phone number listed by Amazon.

I had Photo Explosion 3 and loved it. Had Windows 10 installed on my computer and it wasn't compatible. Explosion Deluxe 5.0 is although it does not say that in the instruction manual. Recently ordered Coral Paintshop and it came with nothing but a disc. No instruction manual. Could not understand the program so i returned that and ordered the Photo Explosion- MUCH better
