I got mine sept 2020 and am looking to buy more.I hope they did not change quality. Looking at all the 1 star reviews.I took it fishing in california, montana, arizona and belize.Yes the tip is super bendy allowing some fish to set themselves free - pike and bonefish will get off easily.It performs beautifully as long as you don’t try to set the hook like a maniac.Small and big mouth bass, porgy, trout, catfish, bluegill, snapper.Had some snags where I had to yank the lure, hook out of rocks and branches - still works.Aligning the guides takes a while to get used to but gets easier with practice.I also have the blqckhawk which has free floating guides. That is a pain to align. That one has the guides fixed to each segment.It will not replace a fast action or a deep sea fishing rod- you will not be able to catch swordfish with it.But in a pinch, it works. And is fun.Because of the bendy tip you feel uthe fight.I wish kastking would send me some of their products for review. Or at least the missing buttcap - haha I travel a lot.Will be ordering another one and will update here on how it goes.Pros:Portability - can have one in the car all the timeReliable so farNice feel in handLightCons:It takes a little while to get used to casting accurately because of the bendy tipLost the buttcapNo other cons. I enjoy fishing with this rod.

I love this rod I even have both spin and bait cast reel I used the baitcaster one for 1 year and it’s still held up. It’s made with high quality and most importantly the ease of tracking with it. I ride a motorcycle and it’s so easy to ride with it. Casting wise it’s smooth and no issues. I like the appearance I just wished it had more colors to choose from for the value I think it’s reasonably priced I think it’s a great product. The only con I can think of is that I wish there was an easier way to pull the rod out so it’s already aligned instead of having to manually trying to align all the eye holes.

I purchased this rod a year ago and it served it's purpose and work more or less as expected over thousands of casts. I eventually broke an eyelet due to rough handling, then lost that segment and needed to replace. The replacement broke on the second cast when setting the hook (on a stump). I was running light line and the drag was set appropriately. I'm not sure if the product changed, or there is heavy inconsistency. I can't recommend this unless you are ok knowing some times you will get a dud.

Very good rod for this good price, very sturdy handle is also very sturdy comfortable to carry too, the flexibility is very great on the rod really recommend

I purchased this for camping. Not for heavy duty fishing but it is great for stuffing into your backpack and taking camping for smaller fish that you would find in smaller lakes and streams. I would recommend this.

Grandson loves it!Bought as gift and it’s his favorite fishing rod! Easy to carry in a backpack, on a bike, in a suitcase, for an easy day of fishing!

I don’t usually do review and I would’ve gave it a higher rating but the rod broke on the second day I took it out. I bought this for my birthday trip to south Florida. I caught a little stingray and a catfish on it so it held up pretty good. I’d give it a better rating if it didn’t snap as fast and it was on my birthday when it broke so that was pretty upsetting. I might end up getting another one but still pretty pissed about it breaking off a rock before the line but all in all a good rod just wish mine didn’t break.

I ordered the 5'6" Light rod and it arrived in a couple of days. Upon taking it out of the box I was very pleased to see that the quality was much higher than what I had expected and seen on other telescopic rods in my local big box stores. The grip and reel seat feel very solid and comfortable in hand. There is a protective cap included that provides good protection for the smaller eyes at the end of the rod and will make me more comfortable traveling with it. Telescopic rods sometimes feel stiffer and less responsive than a single blank, but I think this will be great for smaller to mid sized fish. I plan to take this rod trout fishing over the next two weeks and will provide updates as needed, but so far I'm impressed!
