Indian Mallow, Dong Kui Zi (Abutilon Indicum) is a small, perennial, herbaceous plant that belongs to the Malvaceae family. This subshrub can reach up to 1-1.5 m in height. The branches are downy and hairy. The leaves are simple, alternately arranged, toothed, broadly ovate, heart-shaped at base, and about 1.9-5 cm long. The petioles are about 2.5-7.5 cm long. The yellow or orange flowers are regular, monoecious, solitary, about 2.5 cm across. There are 5 sepals with 5 lobes; the calyx is cup-shaped. The taproots are oblong.
