has anyone used these to support 150+ pounds? I need to support an amp that is 100 pounds and will use the 16x16 bracket and mounting it into 2x4s

Yes, it will support it. I have installed them on a bench and they are pretty tough.

Could these be spray painted?

Yes, the original shelf bracket is made of stainless steel, you can spray it in your favorite color.

It seems that these will not fit sized 23"x18".Is that ture?

Dear customer, for your better shopping experience, the bracket is perfectly suitable for installing 16”wide lumber board for it's best bearing capability.
