This isn't the most soothing product I have used for a sunburn, however, it is the most cost effective relative to the relief and size of the product. I didn't have high expectations, I actually expected this product to be a dud, but if you apply generously, you don't feel any application pain, which is more than I can say for many "soothing" products I have tried over the years. This product does not numb the pain, only makes it manageable, which I expected given the very minor quantity of Menthol and Lidocaine. I predominantly bought it for the aloe content, as I recently moved and no longer have access to my aloe garden. I've been treating my burn with witch hazel for two days, with only minor healing, until this product arrived. The rednessed halved within one day of regularly applying, and another quarter of that next day. My skin is clearing up with no signs of peeling, freckling, or noticable tan. As many times I have been burned without treatment and aware of the healing times, I can say this gel works well. The g slightly smells of lidocaine. It is neither scentless, nor smells bad, as I have seen in some reviews. It's no different than a weak ankle cream or mouth wash. My only complaint is the unecessary blue coloring. It WILL faintly dye your hands, and whatever light color it comes into contact with.

This stuff is great for the price. I live somewhere very hot and I'm very fair so I get sunburnt even when using layers of sunscreen. I love the Hawaiian tropics after sun with lidocaine and the Australian gold one as well but they are much more expensive and harder to find. I decided to try this out and while it is not as strong as its predecessors, for the price it is perfect! I use this when I've burnt myself from the beach and even recently packed it with me in an old perfume bottle, to take on vacation with me. A few family members got burnt and we were all thankful I packed this as it greatly soothed our burned and my boyfriends sister even saying "I'm so glad you bought that stuff, it actually helped soothing the pain and was the reason I could nap." When I barely burned the back of my legs this was one of the only things keeping me going for the week it was most painful. Highly recommend if the other option are out of your budget or you don't want as strong of a medication/ sensation. It does tingle slightly and almost numbs the area a bit and it also cools using menthol and eucalyptus which is also what it smells like and I love the blue colour. It is quite thick which I personally love, but my gf find it to be a bit too thick and sticky for for his preference, I personally thing the feeling is nice, but if you are more sensitive it may not be for you. It definitely hydrates the area as well.

I got sunburned really bad and when I would apply aloe vera gel or Benadryl gel it would dry up really quickly and I still felt the burning sensation all day. I tried this out for the first time because it had good reviews and I was surprised at how amazing and quickly this worked. I felt an instant cooling relief, and it lasts for a while. I stopped feeling like my skin was still burning and it felt very cool and dried quickly as well. I definitely recommend for any sunburns. My only complaint is the top is kind of awkward, the way that you get the gel out, I wish they would just fix that so you don't get so much out at once. Overall this is an amazing product and it has a very light minty scent.

Great after a blade shave on face!

I use this on my varicose veins as it has .75 percent lidocaine. It is much cheaper than other lidocaine topicals and I find this is plenty for a few hours relief of leg pain. It also has menthol. I got four large bottles for half of what the apsercreme or tylenol 4% lidocaine cost. They arent any better. My theory is the nerve endings react to the lidocaine even if only a percent.
